App development: plan for interrupted journeys as well as the happy path

Business area: App Development
Start with the tasks that justify an installed application, such as recurring mobile work or device-dependent interactions. Validate the journey with a simple prototype and representative users before committing to a broad feature set.
Map what happens when a connection drops, a session expires or a permission is declined. Decide which information may be stored locally and how it is reconciled later. Define support access, release ownership and a way to diagnose failures without collecting unnecessary sensitive data.
Use a release checklist covering supported devices, accessibility, recovery, data handling and the current distribution-platform rules. Roll out to a limited audience first, monitor task completion and support requests, then expand once the main failure cases can be handled.
